    OMG! I found a copy of the advert today and I thought that I'll call this company that is making this thing up just for the fun of it.


    First of all, you need to check out their webpage.



    The deadline for submitting websites is next month and the directory will supposedly be released in September.

    There is so much of money floating around, I think this guy will make some quick bucks. For all their "404/page not found errors", ministries will be more than willing to have their WWW listed in the printed book. Imagine spelling erros creeping in URLs of the printed copies...I can't wait for that book :)

    This is just a way to make money out of ads ... no one will even use this thing ... but i all honesty .. you cannot find a good listing of Omani Businesses online ... you always have to go back to the good old phone book !

    keep up the good work

    but considering the region and the country we live in this makes perfect sense.

    SOME people always look at internet-related stuff to be scary and too difficult.

    i wont be surprised that some people will keep this book next to their PCs and will ONLY use websites that appear in the book.

    Anon, of course there are no such books on Amazon. There is a difference between website review books and this thing. This book is a DIRECTORY (like a telephone directory), and it is pointless because it CANNOT contain all the Omani websites (are we counting blogs) and because it is impossible to update. It is a waste of money, time, and paper. I thought that I will share it with the readers of my blog because it is so amusingly ridiculous.

    I saw the (shockingly mis-spelled)advert for that and almost died laughing. I cut it out to post on my blog under the heading "words Fail Me" but never got around to it. Great post!
