Unfortunately I'm not anonymous, or lets say not anonymous enough. Everyone in my family knows about my blog, including my father who reads it occasionally. So yeah... I'm quite cautious in what I write about because if there is something I don't want my father or someone who knows me personally to read, I would simply not be able to write about it. There is some kind of a self-censorship happening on my blog, which is kinda good I guess since it lets you become more aware of your limits. But even sometimes there are things that you want to write about that are within your limits and you still don't get to write about them, because you are not anonymous enough.
So yeah.. I'm exactly like you. I do not approve blogging completely anonymously to blog about all the nonsense on this earth, but sometimes I just miss it and wish that I was more anonymous.

You said it right. I do have an urge to blog anonymously at times when I have many 'stories/gossips' to reveal and I cannot do it on my present blog. The best part of blogging with a name along is that it provides instant credibility, which I guess, is not possible when you blog anonymously. Like Amjad said, just because many people read my blog, and keep an eye, I cannot afford to write baseless or incredible stuff. That way self-censoring is taken care of. All said and done, it has benefited me in many ways every since I decided to blog with my name.

Mmm i thought about this issue before running my blog.i'm not blogging with a real name but i'm blogging under a nickname that i want to be known with in the bloggers community and i want ppl who know me in real life to know that is me. for me blogs are like the mirrors which tell who the person is and after so many years you'll be pleased to see that your ideas, opinions and experiences ( that i'm sure you are proud of) are documented sme where and reserved so that your grandchildren will read and say that was our grandpa that's why i prefer blogging not anonymously in adaition to what kishor and amjad said of instant credibility and self-censorship and it just saves your credit and copyrights. when analyzing why do we want to be anonymous it could be for 2 reasons: political and social for the political reason it's because of the government but for the social reason when it comes to this issue i think ppl should accept it when bloggers blog about some personal experiences, is not honesty what we are calling for? and they shouldn't be judged for what the wrote. everyone needs a space where they need to reveal. i think this is the same reason for why ppl don't tend to white their autobiographies. so far, my blog is still new and i didn't actully feet that feeling but i know i'll in the future, but anyway i guess i'll be happy :)

Interesting topic, my friend!!! This affects me personally as I have had mixed feelings about NOT being anonymous. I actually almost lost my current job due to my website! (I guess there were concerns about my venting over cheating going on at my last job.) My websites were created to let my family know what I'm up to while also expressing my thoughts but it's hard when those thoughts clash with others... Anyway, it's nice to be able to see others thoughts (such as yours) from time to time! (Although there are the rare extremely negative comments from anonymous bloggers which I just end up rejecting.) Thanks for that post & question!
